The First Week

The first week at my new job went great. I enjoyed every minute of it and the kids are super sweet. I think that I will have to work on scheduling as I go. When I go to make Micah's lunch, Luke decides that he wants to eat or be held, and is quite insistant about these matters. Tuesday I got lunch made, and Micah eating it, and then held Luke till he fell asleep before I ate. ( I'm sure all you moms are nodding and saying yes, that's the way it goes.) The next day I decided to eat my lunch while making Micah's. Sure enough as soon as I got her food dished, Luke decided it would be a good time to eat too. :) I smile every time I think about the two kids.

I realized yesterday that I don't miss the Credit Union at all and have so much peace and joy in this new place that God has led me. I'm reminded about that verse that says, every good and perfect thing comes from Him. It is so true.

I've been meaning to respond for a while to the comments about books that Kristy and Kerry left. Kristy, I've read lots of the WW2 books by the Thoenes but not the series you mentioned. What's funny is the day my mom read my posting and your comment she had just put the first book to the AD Chronicles in the mail to me thinking I would enjoy it. We had to laugh at the coincidence.
Kerry, I've read almost all of Maeve Binchy's short stories and really enjoyed them, but I haven't actually read any of her full novels. :)

Well, I'm off to read a little before I go to sleep. We're on Sunday School duty tomorrow and I think that there will be a lot of one year olds.
